The party is over and Madden seemed to have a good time. The weather was cold, but the party was inside, so it wasn't too bad. The animal encounter part of the party, where the kids were able to touch several animals, was nice. Madden seemed to be much more interested about 6 months ago, though. Today, there was just too much excitement for him. He knew today was "his" day and he was hamming it up. I was so happy that a couple of Madden's friends that he knew from daycare were able to come. Overall, I've learned that having a party outside your home is nice. You can come home and relax after, and not clean up. I don't know why these parties are so stressful for me, but they are. I looked at Donovan on the way home, with Madden passed out in his car seat and said, "I wish I could say this is only once a year.....but we have another one on the way." lol. It was a moment of clarity...lol. Madden got WAY too much and is enjoying every bit of it as I type. Thanks to everyone that came and made this day so special!!! Love you all!
